The team...

We are proud of our dedicated team of professionals who are committed to delivering high quality childcare. Almost all team members are qualified to Level 3 in childcare with some staff holding their Level 4 qualification. The majority of our staff hold a paediatric first aid certificate along with a basic food hygiene certificate. Our team of highly experienced staff have spent years working in childcare settings, as well as  - in many cases - being parents and grandparents themselves.

Amy - nursery manager

Amy has been with the nursery for just over nine years. She started at the nursery as a student whilst studying her NVQ level 3. Since then she has been the toddler room leader, temporary deputy manager and, since 2015, the nursery manager.  Amy is also the after school club leader and works in ratio between 15:00 and 18:00. Amy has completed a level 5 business management; DSL training; first aid and Leadership in Early Years. 


Stephanie - deputy nursery manager 

Steph has her NVQ level 3 and Leadership level 2. Steph has been at the nursery for over nine years and started off as an apprentice! Steph has expereienced working in all rooms and with all age groups. She became our toddler room leader in 2015 and is now our deputy manager and staff support mentor. Steph has complete DSL training; First Aid training and Play Champion training.


Becky - group leader - pre-school and SENCO

Becky has been with us for over 2 years, she enjoys large crafts and walks with the children. Becky has a foundation degree in Early Yearts and is working towards her EYTS. Becky is focusing on special educational needs during her time an university. Becky has completed both her First Aid and Safeguarding training.


Kristy - group leader - toddler room

Kristy has been at the nursery for over ten years. She has a level 4 in childcare and enjoys working with the toddlers. Kirsty has completed both her First Aid and Safeguarding training.



Simone - group leader - pre-school

Simone has worked in childcare since 2008. Simone has completed her foundation    degree in Early Years; BA hons in Education Studies and Early Years Teacher  Status. Simone has complete both her First Aid and Safeguarding training.  





Alice - childcare assistant

Alice has worked at the nursery for nearly three years and holds her NVQ level 3 in  Childcare. Alice has completed Building Brighter Futures training, First Aid training    and Safeguarding training.



Julie - childcare assistant

Julie currently works in our toddler room, Julie has her NVQ level 3 in Childcare. Julie   really enjoys messy play with the children. Julie has completed both her First Aid and   Safeguarding training.



Sarah - childcare assistant

Sarah is the newest team member. Sarah has recently completed Child Development    training, First Aid training and Safeguarding training. Sarah previously worked in a primary school.




Helen - childcare assistant

Helen is NVQ level 3 qualified in Early Years. Helen has worked at the nursery for over 19 years and has a wealth of early years experience. Helen has completed both her First Aid and Safeguarding training.

Heather - childcare assistant (support staff)

Heather has worked at the nursery for nearly 2 years. Heather ofter helps out in Mighty Oaks after school club. Heather is also a member of staff at the college.

Through regular evaluation, review and staff meetings, we invest in each employee's personal and professional growth. We strive to recruit and retain the best staff, maintaining the highest possible standards of service to the children in our care.

All staff are subject to DBS checks and vetting processes, in accordance with statutory requirements and have completed training in safeguarding children.

We provide a staffing ratio in line with the welfare requirements of the EYFS to ensure high quality care and education.

Regular staff meetings provide opportunities for staff to undertake curriculum planning and to discuss children’s progress and any additional support required.
