Y8 PARENT evenings - 9 Nov (B&D) 14 Nov (N&S)

20 Oct 2017

Dear parent / guardian

As you will be aware we have our year 8 parents’ evenings in November which run from 16:00 to 19:00.

THURSDAY 9 Nov 2017 - Brunel and Da Vinci houses (tutor groups beginning with B or D)

TUESDAY 14 Nov 2017 - Nightingale and Shakespeare (tutor groups beginning with N or S)

It is important that you attend parents’ evening as you will be able to discuss progress and get advice on how to support your child from their current subject teachers. This is an opportunity to review progress from the start of year 8 and to discuss the October grade sweep in more depth.

As in previous years, we are using our online system, INSIGHT, for booking appointments so please make sure you are able to access your child’s profile successfully before the booking section opens on Thursday 2 November 2017 at 09:00.

  • Open Insight - click 'General' then ‘Parents Evening’ along the top tab.
  • Click on the date that corresponds with your child’s house.
  • All teachers will be listed - only make appointments with those teachers that teach your child.
  • Click on the time that you want to see each teacher in the ‘Available bookings’ section.
  • Your appointment will then appear on your booking sheet.

Please check to ensure that you can access Insight at home before the booking goes live on 2 November 2017 (email Elaine Hardington or telephone 01530 265826 if you are having problems so all issues can be rectified promptly).

We hope to see you at parents’ evening but if for any reason you are unable to make it, please contact me so we can arrange an alternative time for you. We want to support you as best we can in guiding your child for the future.

Yours sincerely

Marianne Clements, Progress Leader
